Reducing the number of homeless pets
Since opening, over 15,000 dogs and cats have been spayed or neutered - forever more impacting and reducing the number of homeless pets in our community.
- By targeting low-income pet guardians, a population is reached that price, not inclination, had previously made it impossible to spay or neuter their pets. The fee for a dog surgery is $55 and male cats are $25 and female cats $30.
- Statewide statistics indicate that cats are euthanized 2 to 1 over dogs. Our observations indicate that small dogs seldom need our adoption services. Therefore, we schedule many more cats surgeries than dogs.
- Our free feral cat spay/neuter program, “Wild Monday”, offers free spay/neuter weekly. This has become a invaluable resource to the hardworking and dedicated volunteer trappers in the community.
- Funds are raised for special spay/neuter days throughout the year to offer free or 25¢ surgeries to the public.
- Our high quality program and state-of-the-art facility have resulted in many local veterinarians recommending our spay/neuter services.
