Dog Training Classes & Fees

Exciting Dog Training Classes!! Sign-up with your dog today!

All classes held in the 4,800 square foot indoor, heated dog training building.

N.O.A.H. offers several training opportunities including basic to advanced obedience classes, puppy training classes and really fun competitive classes like agility.  We also offer private consulations for specific behavioral problems.  Our instructors are Stacie Ventura and Bill Middlin.

Stacie has over 20 years of dog training experience. She has trained dogs for competitive events including obedience, agility, confirmation and tracking and has over 12 years of experience training, handling and evaluating search and rescue dogs. Stacie has worked with dogs of all breeds and temperaments. She has worked at N.O.A.H. for the past 6 years with the shelter dog training program and canine behavior modification.   

Bill Middlin has been training dogs and competing in obedience and conformation for 40 years.  He completed the Academy of Canine Behavior Dog Training Apprenticeship Program.  Bill has worked full time as a dog trainer and instructor specializing in rehabilitating aggressive dogs and canine behavior modification for the past 5 years.  Bill is currently competing with his own dogs in AKC obedience, conformation, herding and tracking.

Good Manners 1

(6 months and older)

Classes will teach your canine companion the beginnings of good manners (sit, down, stay, come, heel (walking on a leash), leave it and drop it) and it will also address many of the behavior issues that come with that cute package.  Proof of current vaccinations required. This class meets once a week for 6 weeks.

Good Manners 2/CGC Class

(6 months and older)

Classes will focus on practical exercises using the basic obedience skills learned in Good Manners I, including more advanced commands. This class will prepare dogs to pass the AKC Canine Good Citizenship Certification which they will have the opportunity to take on the 6th class. This class meets once a week for 6 weeks.

Puppy Class

(8 wks - 6 months)

If you have a young puppy this class is for you! Dogs learn proper socialization skills early on - up to 16 weeks of age. Now is the time to get them in class so they learn how to interact with other dogs and people.  This class will also teach your puppy basic obedience commands.  In order to ensure the health of all the puppies in the class proof of current vaccinations is required. This class meets once a week for 6 weeks.

Agility Classes

(9 months old and up) If you are looking for a fun activity for you and your dog while training him or her at the same time, agility might be for you. Whether you have a pure or mixed breed, large or small dog, everyone can participate in this sport. Our equipment is very safe and meets AKC competion standards. All classes meet once a week for 6 weeks.

Beginners Agility Class

November 7, 2009 - Every Saturday Morning from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

January 9 , 2010 - Every Saturday Morning from 10:30 to 11:30 p.m.

Beginning Agility Class Fee: $95.00 per dog ($85.00 for dogs adopted from N.O.A.H.)

Intermediate/Advanced Agility Class

November 7 , 2009 - Every Saturday Afternoon from 1:00 to 2:15 p.m.

November 11, 2009 - Every Wednesday Evening from 6:00 to 7:15 p.m.

January 9, 2010- Every Saturday Afternoon from 12:00 to 1:15 p.m.

January 6, 2010 - Every Wednesday Evening from 6:00 to 7:15 p.m.

 

Intermediate/Advanced Agility Class Fee: $80.00 for all dogs

Private Lessons

If your pet requires indivdualized training or you are unable to attend group class, we offer private, one-on-one lessons.  These are offered 7 days a week. 

Fee for private classes is $60.00 per lesson (1 hour)

Dog Park at N.O.A.H.

Bring your dog to make new friends while our dog trainer is on site to monitor safe playing and to answer any behavioral questions you have. All dogs must be friendly with other dogs, six months of age or older, and curent on their vaccinations. There will be a small fee of $5.00 per day. Call Stacie for more information (360) 629-7055. It will be held outdoors if weather permits, otherwise we will be inside the dog training building. *Pre-registration is not required

There are no more scheduled play dates after August 15th.  Please check back with us in a few months to see when this program will start up again.
