Thanks for Supporting Puppy Mill Legislation!

Senate Bill 5651 Passed and has been signed by the govenor! The Bill provides humanitarian requirements for certain dog breeding practices, meaning it limits the number of adult intact animals in one location to 50. The Following is fromthe Humane Society of the United States:

Puppy Mills
The Washington legislature passed major legislation to crack down on puppy mills. ESSB 5651 will prohibit large-scale production facilities from possessing more than 50 unsterilized dogs and will also put in place some basic animal welfare standards. When ESSB 5651 is signed into law, Washington will have one of the strongest puppy mills laws in the country as only the third state to limit the size of puppy mills, joining Virginia and Louisiana.
