New Volunteer Orientations
Attending a volunteer orientation is a great way to learn more about N.O.A.H. and volunteering!
New Volunteer Orientations are mandatory. These Orientations will include an introduction to NOAH, and a brief intro to cleaning Cat “Condos”, and Dog “Suites”, plus a tour and interview. Please call our Main Line 360-629-7055, talk to our friendly Volunteer Receptionist and reserve your spot for one of the upcoming Orientations.

- Wednesday May 15at 5-7 pm
- Thursday June 6 at 5-7 pm
- Tuesday June 18 at 5-7 pm
Special Training for Volunteers
Every volunteer is provided on-the-job training from a staff member or a lead volunteer. Various classes are offered...some are optional and some are mandatory. Training may or may not occur during your regularly scheduled volunteer shift. Sign-up for all classes at the front desk.
Dog 101 - All Dog Volunteers
In this hands-on class, volunteers will learn how safely handle the dogs at N.O.A.H. and how to provide Good Manners training to the dogs. Includes how to safely enter a dog suite and walk a dog on a leash. Must attend orientation before taking this training. This class is mandatory for every position that involves interacting with dogs. Sign up in the breakroom.

Cats 101 – Cat Behavior and Handling Class
In this class, volunteers will learn how safely handle the cats at N.O.A.H. and how to provide proper care for the cats. Includes how to safely enter a cat suite and/or colony, socialize with the cats and how to be aware of their body language . This class is mandatory for every position that involves interacting with cats. Must attend orientation before taking this training.Sign up in breakroom.

Foster Care 101 - For Foster Volunteers
One-on-one with Foster Coordinator. Learn how to feed and care for infant kittens, puppies, and moms with babies. This class is mandatory before fostering an animal. Click here for more information about N.O.A.H.'s Foster Program.
