Leave Your Legacy

PLANNED GIVING

With your help, The NOAH Center has worked to stop the euthanasia of homeless pets and reduce pet overpopulation. Since opening our doors in 2003, we have spayed/neutered over 130,000 cats and dogs and helped more than 45,000 to find their forever homes.

SAVING LIVES FOR YEARS TO COME

With a planned gift to The NOAH Center, you can combine your desire to help animals in need with your overall financial, tax, and estate planning goals. Whether you would like to put your donation to work today or after your lifetime, you can find a plan that fits your needs. It’s easy to do, and you don’t have to be wealthy to do it. There are many ways to give, and contributions of any size are always appreciated.

TAX BENEFITS

Charitable gifts from estate present a variety of tax planning opportunities. Unlike charitable gifts made during your lifetime, however, you do not receive a current charitable income tax deduction.

If your estate is subject to estate tax, a bequest to The NOAH Center entitles your estate to an estate tax charitable deduction for the amount donated, and reduces the amount of tax your estate must pay. Note also that if you make a gift by naming The NOAH Center as a beneficiary of your retirement plan or IRA, there are income tax benefits. Please work with your financial planner or attorney for your individual planned giving.

PLANNED GIVING OPTIONS

WILL OR TRUST
Making a gift through your will or revocable living trust is a simple and flexible way to save the lives of pets for years to come.

SPECIFIC GIFTS
You define exactly what kind of gift you want to leave and designate the source. You can leave a specific dollar amount or a piece of property.

RESIDUARY GIFTS
This type of bequest is honored after all other bequests have been made, and all debts, expenses and taxes have been paid.

CONTINGENT GIFTS
This type of bequest is fulfilled if certain conditions are met. For instance, if your primary beneficiary does not survive you, you can indicate your next choice through a contingent bequest.

RETIREMENT ASSETS
A gift of your retirement assets, such as a gift from your IRA, 401(k), 403(b), pension, or other tax-deferred plan, is an excellent way to make a planned gift to The NOAHCenter. If you are like most people, you probably will not use all of your retirement assets during your lifetime.

LIFE INSURANCE
You can name The NOAH Center as a primary life insurance beneficiary or as a contingent beneficiary should your other beneficiaries not survive you. To make this gift, simply contact your insurance carrier and request a beneficiary form.

PET CARE TRUST
The NOAH Center’s Pet Care Trust program is a service we offer to our supporters who wish to entrust their dogs and/or cats to our care in the event of their incapacity or death. A bequest of $1,000 per animal is recommended.
