Why is my cat playing at night?

Cats/kittens are crepuscular by nature. This means that they do most of their sleeping in the middle of the night and in the middle of the day. So early morning hours is one of their favorite times to play, pretend hunt, and explore, but it is often not our ideal time to be awake!  Making sure that the sanctuary room is far away from sleeping areas and ensuring that your kitty has enrichment activities/toys available will help encourage them to stay constructively entertained at night.
